The aim of this kind of assignment is to demonstrate that I can analyse a learning event I use planned, executed and examined and meet student learning needs. This will include a program that will assess my performance as a coach to a pupil I have been dealing with on the ward.
According to the Nursing jobs and Midwifery Council (NMC) (2006) the definition of mentor can be used to denote the role of a registered nurse who also facilitates learning and supervises and analyzes students in the practice place. The council identify eight mandatory criteria that must be attained to become a mentor. Within the job I will be referring to the criteria to Support Learning and Assessment in a scientific practice.
In the beginning I am required, with my coach, to agree an action cover the life long the module. This will guideline my learning activities inside the clinical location and will highlight any support I need. All of us will work collectively and meet up with on set up days in order to review and discuss my own progress. Were both mindful a conformative assessment is to be submitted. I will also work to a refractive diary which in turn compromises of an initial action plan, six mentorship activities, a mid approach review and final assessment.
My function as a instructor to a nursing jobs student will probably be evaluated, through looking at the way in which she is reinforced on the keep and also how I facilitate this. I will critically echo upon my teaching with a first 12 months student nurse during a urine dipstick research. I will describe how I identify my college students learning needs and how We develop a confident learning environment.
